Description

The Gryphon of the Eastern Caverns is an inquisitive creature. Most people do not bat an eye when an artist pulls out their supplies as they tend to be more interested in the process or the final product. The gryphons wanted to know by what process my stack of papers had been dyed and from where I had obtained my "color sticks". I was told not to be too offended if the creatures absolutely ignored me. Apparently they refuse to tolerate more than a few people. "We talk too much," someone explained. Indeed, many of the gryphons quickly grew bored and returned to their business. One, a Kaji Cadyrn, asked me to draw his portrait. His human draws too many plants he said. He didn't draw him enough he said.

_{Today on, "Scanner, You Didn't Even Try!" This! The feathers are much more golden yellow in the original and I just could not bring them back in Photoshop. But it looks ok this way too...}

Because I've only been meaning to comment on this for months now :'D Anyway this looks really amazing detail wise even in the scan, so I can only imagine how bold and beautiful it must look in person (since scanners have a vendetta against traditional works :shakefish:

Love the beak anatomy here, you captured pretty much every angle and ridge on it perfectly. I always have a hard time giving beaks dimension. Those eyes are gorgeous too, so many colors and tones in them, and the highlight on them is PERFECT-like that eyeball is peering through my soul hahaha
